Our Core Courses
Latin
The study of Latin is shown to aid in both English Grammar SAT scores. We are proud to use the Latin sequence from Memoria Press.
Composition
Prescott Hearth uses the Progymnasmata for writing sequencing. Classical Composition takes students from fourth grade through the entire writing process in preparation for their Senior Thesis.
Fine Arts
The lower schools participate in a 7 week rotation of art, music, poetry, handwork, and movement. Upper School boasts several options each semester.
S.T.E.A.M.
While the focus remains a solid education in the forgotten and often arts areas, Prescott Hearth embraces all seven sections of liberal arts, and promises strength in marrying art with science and maths.

At Prescott Hearth, we believe education should honor the whole child — heart, mind, and body — while respecting the natural stages of growth along the way.
Our approach is holistic and age-appropriate, rooted in the understanding that children thrive when learning is thoughtfully paced, deeply meaningful, and connected to the world around them. We invite students to wonder, to ask good questions, and to engage fully with ideas — not through pressure or hurry, but through steady habits, rich materials, and purposeful work.
At the same time, we are unapologetically rigorous. Students at Prescott Hearth are challenged to read well, think clearly, write thoughtfully, and attend carefully. We believe children are capable of real intellectual work when they are taught with intention and care.
And just as importantly, learning here is joyful. Our days are filled with good books, meaningful discussions, hands-on exploration, time outdoors, and moments of genuine delight. School should be a place where children feel welcomed, known, and eager to return.
